Sodium levulinate

Levulinate salts such as sodium levulinate, potassium levulinate, calcium levulinate, or magnesium levulinate; are bio-derived organic salts of levulinic acid that are generally soluble in water but not in oils. Sodium levulinate is commonly used as a preservative because it exhibits antimicrobial action. Common usage loadings are generally between 0.4 and 0.7%. We supply sodium levulinate in 100g, 500g, and 1kg quantities.
