Cesium formate monohydrate

Cesium formate monohydrate

Excluding Sales Tax

Cesium formate monohydrate is frequently used as a;

  • energy harvesting as a shale drilling mud ingredient,
  • excellent cesium precursor (replacing less soluble salts) for cesium lead halide perovskite nanoparticles,
  • high-density electrolyte for alkaline batteries
  • specialty glasses manufacturing additive
  • catalyst in organic synthesis, urethane foam production, and petroleum refining

In reaction chemistry, organic cesium salt reagents are more preferred over their cheaper alkali metal counterparts. The higher cost of cesium salts is offset by clear ‘Cesium Effect’ advantages such as higher yields, shorter reaction times, smaller amounts of reagents required, milder reaction conditions and easier work-up procedures.
