Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) ammonium oleate
Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) ammonium oleate (DEA oleate) is a water-soluble, viscous liquid with low volatility, low environmental persistence (highly biodegradable), inflammability (flash point > 100C), high thermal stability, and strong surface adsorption. Due to these attributes, DEA oleate is positioned as a robust lubricant grease additive for harsh condition applications such as in cooling towers, heat exchangers, metal working, drilling, munitions, etc. Other applications include reaction chemistry, development of self-assembling drug delivery systems, sound propagation, materials for membrane separation processes, corrosion inhibition, detergents, metal working fluid, wood vanishes, or electrical conducting media.
